Frequently asked questions

Is PDFBuild really free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use with no watermark and no account. There are no daily limits on browser-based tools.

Are my files uploaded to your server?

Not for tools marked “Runs in your browser”. They process files on your device. Office conversions are uploaded over HTTPS and deleted automatically within 30 minutes.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Every tool works in modern mobile browsers on Android and iPhone. Very large files may be slower on older phones because the work happens on the device.

Is there a file size limit?

Browser tools have no upload limit; the practical limit is your device’s memory (files up to a few hundred MB usually work). Server conversions accept files up to 25 MB.

Which languages are supported?

The site is available in English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German and Arabic. Tools handle documents in any language.
