Datenschutzerklärung

This policy explains what PDFBuild does with your files and data. In short: most tools never upload your files, and we never keep file contents.

Files processed in your browser

Tools marked “Runs in your browser” work entirely on your device. The file is read by your browser, processed in memory, and the result is saved straight to your device. Nothing is sent to our server.

Files processed on our server

Tools marked “Uses our server” (Word, Excel and PowerPoint conversion) send your file to our server over HTTPS. The file is stored under a random name in a private folder, converted, and both the upload and the result are deleted within 30 minutes. We do not open, read, share or analyse file contents.

What we record

• Anonymous usage counts: which tool was used, whether it succeeded, input and output sizes, and processing time. No file names, file contents or document passwords are ever recorded.
• A one-way hash of your IP address, held for up to 24 hours, to prevent abuse of server-side tools.
• If you choose to create an account: your name, email and a securely hashed password.

Cookies

We use one essential session cookie to keep forms secure and, if you sign in, to keep you signed in. If the site owner enables analytics, an analytics cookie may also be set.

Your rights

You can ask us to delete your account and any associated data at any time by emailing info@techandesigns.com.
